MEGAN LOPEZ

Before I started my BA (Hons) Live Events and Television degree at LCC, I studied Digital Media at Ravensbourne University. One of the  projects I participated in whilst at Ravensbourne was the 48 Hour Film Challenge Competition. My team and I were given 2 days to compose, shoot and edit a short film. I took on the Directors role for this project. My younger brother (Oliver) played the main character and we filmed all across central London, including Canary Wharf and Greenwich.

It was quite an exhausting process filming with a 4-year-old for an entire day. The team consisted of 2 cameramen, a sound guy, a cinematographer, a graphic designer, and an editor.

Unfortunately, my team didn't win the 48 Hour Film Challenge. Nevertheless, it was an exciting process which forced me to work under pressure and to a strict deadline. Oliver also became somewhat of a celebrity at Ravensbourne, and he enjoyed all of the attention received at the screening evening.
