Logo Design

As someone who enjoys using design software to produce creative pieces of work, I also taught myself how to use Adobe Photoshop. This skill then allowed me to produce materials such as logos, invitations and other print media.

My most recent Photoshop project was a logo which I created for the RAW (Recognising Animal Welfare) Exhibition. It was important that I produce a logo for this event as it helps to create a brand image. I used pink water-coloured paper to make the background of the logo, which I scanned onto photoshop, and then layered on the title along with an animal icon, which was drawn using a graphic tablet. I created many variations of this logo, featuring a different animal on each one.

Another logo which I produced using Photoshop was for a popular dog show called Dogs Live. The event was basically like a festival for dogs, so it had lots of fun and exciting activities for the pampered pooches to be involved in. One of these activities was a giant swimming pool for the dogs to splash around in and keep cool. This was called Doggie Dippers. The organisers of the event wanted me to use my skills to produce a logo to help represent the activity. This logo was then featured on badges, staff t-shirts, market material and banners.

I drew the image of the dog using a graphic tablet, which I then coloured in using photoshop.
