Event Designer for the RAW Exhibition

For my Final Major Project in my 3rd year at University, I decided to organise an exhibition which focused on animal rights. As a passionate vegan and animal rights advocate, I wanted my Major Project to be focused on something that I am inspired and motivated by. Also, I felt that I'd only had experience in organising hypothetical events at University. Therefore, this was my chance to put all of my learnings into practice and test my events planning skills.

I coordinated the whole exhibition solely on my own, from source a venue to finding artists to collaborate with, to gaining funding along with marketing the event.

The purpose was to teach people about the reality behind what animals go through for the means of human resources such as food, clothes, entertainment and chemical testing. I collaborated with 3 artists, who all contributed work to display at the exhibition, along with three pieces of my own which I designed.

A guest list of roughly 50 people attended the exhibition, all of which were given a complimentary drink on arrival and a goody bag containing vegan sample products as they left.

The exhibition was called RAW which stands for Recognising Animal Welfare, and I created a unique RAW logo to help create a brand image for the exhibition. I am hoping transform RAW into a unique company which helps to raise awareness about animal rights through the use of live events.
